After 50 years of racing and 30 years of race directing, organizing and announcing, Canada’s Steve King, has formed BacKing Events & Sports Team (the BEST) with a view to providing race day, on-site announcing, as well as any TV, radio and internet commentary and race awards protocols.
Having covered Pan American Games, Commonwealth Games, World and National Championships and events in Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., the BEST now consists of seven main announcers (King, Jordan Back, Matt Hill, Sheena Miller, Dave Bullock, John Atkinson and Stephanie Tait) and support staff.

This new set-up allows the team to take on a host of events under a single Games banner, such as the recent World Police & Fire Games or the World Masters Track & Field and non-stadia Champs. The BEST will also be able to support multiple races on the same weekend in various locations.
If you are an event or race director/organizer or planning to be (the BEST also offers event planning services) the team has experience with running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, duathlon, track and field, cross-country skiing and adventure racing.
