Paul O’Callaghan emigrated to Victoria in February 2006 with his wife Jacqueline and four children. Paul was an Irish international runner, having represented the country of his parents birth, since 1982 when he finished 36th in the World Cross Country Championships.
Over the course of the following 10 years Paul represented Ireland on the road, the track over 5000m, qualified for the 1988 Olympic Games and ran in a total of 6 Worlds XC Champs as well as one European track championship. Just prior to landing in Canada, Paul smashed the Irish Masters !0,000m record running 30.38.4.
He holds PB's of 7:52 for 3000m, 13:29 5000m, 10K 28:20 and a 65:30 half marathon.
