Dave Bullock
Dave has been involved with Ironman Canada since 1991 and was the Race Director of the event for three years, as well as having been the Race Director for the Okanagan Valley's very first triathlon, Penticton's Peach Classic, along with the Bare Bones Duathlon, both of which have been the Provincial Championships on a number of occasions.
He was in fact the founder of the Bare Bones Duathlon and a former race director of what is now the Penticton Kids of Steel Triathlon. Dave has been a competitive runner since he was11 years of age and went on to become a British age group record holder for the 100m and was part of the British Olympic relay squad from 1967-1969. He was also a semi-pro soccer player for 9 years, was a member of the All-England Schools volleyball team. He has completed both Ironman Canada and Europe (Roth) as well as having run 13 marathons.
He loves the sports of triathlon and although arthritis in both knees has lessened his participation at the start line, he is now there in the capacity of being a race announcer and commentator along with the likes of Steve King.
